Photon Shockwave Review
My Photon Shockwave sneak peek was pretty awesome. I didn’t walk out with a ton, but enough to make the day very good. From the five packs, note-worthy pulls were an Ultimate rare Thunder-End Dragon and Extra Gate (a terrible super rare card). No good commons/rares. Some kid pulled a Rescue Rabbit and traded it off to a group of big smelly guys who ripped him for like $30-$40 of the value, but he was happy to complete his LS deck, so I guess it wasn’t that painful to watch.
During sneak peeks, one of the main events is trading cards. Surprisingly I only made one trade today - my ultra rare Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress for two alt. art secret rare Cyber Dragons and a super rare D-Hero Diamond Guy. Secret rare alt art Cyber Dragon looks. so. amazing. *o* I can’t wait to use them in a deck.
What really made the day amazing was, for the first time, I won the raffle for the sneak peek mat. So finally after 2 years of using a Savior Star Dragon mat, I can finally use a much more beautiful, awesome mat - Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!! :D
Something that bugged me today was…I do not think that literally ANYONE (besides me) knew several basic rulings, which really annoyed me in duels I had. Examples: I was playing a fellow Zombie player, but he didn’t know, nor believe me, that Zombie Master must remain face-up on the field for its effect to resolve (I used Bottomless, he says he can still revive a Zombie with priority. He can discard, yes, but not revive the Zombie if Zombie Master leaves). Sad part was, I couldn’t even explain the reason why without sounding like a rulesharker, because me nor him were playing the newly reprinted version with clearer text. The same guy uses Call of the Haunted, targeting Sangan. I chain MST before Call resolves, but he (AND THE PEOPLE AROUND HIM, STUPIDLY) say that Sangan is summoned first. I’m just like….(facepalm) LEARN CHAIN LINK BASICS? Ugh…these people make DN look like a pro-hangout.
I walked out with Alexandrite Dragon, Thunder-End Dragon, Extra Gate (lol), 2 alt. art Cyber Dragons, a super rare D-Dude, and the Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon mat. Very good day! ^_^
